About Me:

I am a Dayton native and currently reside in Centerville, Ohio with my wonderful wife and our two beautiful children. I started filming as a way to capture our family adventures. This hobby quickly turned into a passion and I fell in love with the art of storytelling. I began filming weddings in early 2016. I started Mike Taylor Productions as a small boutique styled wedding productions company to tell couples love stories through a creative lens, capturing the unique beauty of every wedding day. My goal is to film all the important moments of your wedding to create a film that can be shared with friends and family for generations. One thing I want all my couples to know and remember, it’s your wedding day and it’s uniquely special, relax and enjoy spending time with the people you love most. FAQ

What sets you apart from other wedding videographers?

I only take on 10-15 weddings a year, which allows me to be selective in my process. I’m not the right videographer for every couple. It’s very important to me that I build a relationship with my couples. I want them to feel like I am just another close friend on the wedding day.

What does the booking process look like?

First we need to get in contact and the best way to do that is HERE.
Next I like to have an in person or phone meeting with my couples to give us a chance to get to know each other.
Once you have decided that you would like to book a 50% retainer is due as well as a signed contract.
We will have a phone call a month or two out from the wedding day to discuss timeline and any special events or guests.
On the day of the wedding I like to arrive early just to scout the location if it’s a first time for me, as well as say my hellos.
As soon as I get home I begin the back up process of all the footage It gets stored in 2 physical locations as well as a cloud location.
I will then begin the editing process, and as you know a magician never reveals his secret.

Do you offer special promotions?

All the time. You can usually find those on my Instagram.

Do you travel?

I do, I love traveling. There are additional travels fees.

What is the size of your company?

It’s just me. I do all the lead shooting, editing, and client calls. I do hire second shooters when needed and I have a small team that I love working with.

Can I buy RAW footage?

You sure can. I will send you a hard drive with all the footage and audio we captured on the wedding day.

Can we customize your packages?

I do allow customization of any package, everyone’s needs are different and some parts of the wedding day are more important to you then another couple.

How long will it take to get our final films?

That will depend on the package but I try to have everything back to you in 4-6 weeks.

Tell me about your equipment?

I shot a mix of Sony and Canon cameras. There are a bunch of really nerdy reasons as to why I use the cameras I use if you would like to know what they are send me an email at Contact@miketaylorproductions.com and I’ll fill you in.

Do you film in 4k?

I do for some parts of the day. I deliver all my films at a 1080p full HD since this is the best playback option for my couples. If you would like your film delivered in 4k that can be arranged just let me know ahead of time.
