Of course you should hire a videographer for your wedding. I know that sounds a tad bias coming from a videographer, but let me explain further.
Weddings happen fast - Having a wedding film from a videographer is a great way for you to see everything you may have missed or may have just not had enough time to take in on your actual wedding day. I can’t tell you how many times I have had someone request small clips from the wedding day because they missed when grandma started doing the floss or the over excited flower girl throwing the pedals down the aisle.
There are some things you can’t take a photo of - Look I love photographers, they are amazing, but when it comes down to it, no matter how fantastic your wedding photographer is, there will be some things they can’t photograph. Like the crack in the grooms voice when he exchanges vows with his bride or your brother’s belly laugh when he’s telling embarrassing childhood stories in his toast. These are the things you can’t get back once the moment has past.
Memories - What if you could go back in time and attend your parents or grandparents wedding? Well, with a wedding film, your kids, grandkids and even great grandkids can see enjoy your special day. Digital media is going to be around for a long time and it’s so easy to share and make copies of files. You can save your wedding film to the cloud and have it to share for a long time.
Cost - Film-making is time consuming and difficult. I can easily spend 8 to 12 hours putting together a 4 minute highlight film. It’s very affordable to hire a videographer for your wedding. The cost for a wedding is about $25,000 to $35,000 in the US. Make sure you have room in your budget for your videographer to capture your memories.
